IDENTIFIED

THE ISSUE: Several users are still receiving a scam email claiming to be from or forwarded from Superintendent Dr. Velez regarding a supposed payroll update with a link to a Google Doc. THE CAUSE: This is a common tactic used by scammers to try to extract personal or financial information from users. Such messages claim to come from a person in a position of authority or someone you personally know. If you check the sender’s email address, it is coming from a domain outside TVUSD (in this case, @tricountyschools.com). WORKAROUND: Please hit the Report SPAM button to report the message. This helps reduce the number of similar such messages in the future.
